Rangers look to hire Mark Wotte as technical director

Rangers are interested in bringing former Scotland performance director Mark Wotte as part of a management restructuring at the club.

The 54-year old was previously linked with a similar move under the old regime back in November, and it is understood Dave King is also keen on the Dutchman. (The Sun)

Celtic make offer for striker Juan Delgado

Celtic have made a formal offer to Chilean club Colo Colo for their highly rated striker Juan Delgado.

The 22-year old Chilean can play either up front or on the wing and has been capped twice by his country.

Colo Colo are currently mulling over Celtic’s offer. The Hoops have already made one marquee summer signing after buying defender Dedryck Boyata from Manchester City. (AS)

Aberdeen stars tip Derek McInnes to snub Rangers

Aberdeen’s Jamie Langfield and Mark Reynolds have each separately stated their opinion that manager Derek McInnes will reject any advance from Rangers for his services.

McInnes has lifted Aberdeen from a floundering bottom six club to a side which challenged for the Scottish Premiership title this past season.

With many of their core players contracted through next season and beyond, Reynolds and Langfield believe Aberdeen are on the cusp of something great and McInnes will want to see the project through to the end. (Daily Express/Evening Times)

Rangers board to ignore Mike Ashley loan demand

Dave King’s Rangers board have urged shareholders to boot out Mike Ashley’s demand for his £5million loan to be repaid.

The Ibrox outfit will hold a general meeting - the third in six months - on June 12 after Ashley called for shareholders to decide whether the club should repay the funds loaned to them by the Newcastle owner’s Sports Direct firm. (The Scotsman)

New Hibs striker James Keatings insists he had to put his future ahead of pleasing Hearts fans when deciding to sign for their cross-town rivals.

Kilmarnock manager Gary Locke has started his Rugby Park summer transformation by signing former Hearts midfielder Scott Robinson.

The 23-year-old will be reunited with his old Tynecastle boss after penning a three-year deal with the Ayrshire outfit.

Ian Baraclough has made his first summer signing after snapping up Celtic left-back Joe Chalmers on a two-year deal.

Chalmers made his debut as an 18-year old but has played only twice for the Glasgow champions since.
