Arsenal midfielder Jon Toral has emerged as Mark Warburton's preferred target in the January transfer window, Niall McGinn will knock back a pre-contract from Hearts as he looks to return to English football, and Stuart Armstrong is set to be offered a new long-term deal.

Mark Warburton has made Arsenal midfielder Jon Toral his No.1 target in the January transfer window.

It is said that Rangers have already been in touch with the 21-year-old, currently on loan at Granada, about cancelling his season-long loan in La Liga in favour of a switch to Ibrox. (Daily Record)

Celtic agree Eboue fee

Celtic have agreed a £2.8 million deal to sign Kouassi Eboue from Russian side FC Krasnodar. The teenage defensive midfielder could join the club on their winter break trip to Dubai.

McGinn to reject Hearts

Niall McGinn is set to reject an offer from Hearts in favour of waiting it out over a potential return to English football.
