Rangers pay £300k for Caixinha
Pedro Caixinha will sign a three-year deal to become the next manager of Rangers after the Ibrox club agreed to pay £300,000 in compensation to release him from his contract at Qatari side Al Gharafa. Even though the contract is expected to be finalised before Sunday’s match with Celtic, it is unlikely Caixinha will be in the dugout for the game. (Daily Mail)

Warning to Old Firm fans
Police have told fans of both Celtic and Rangers to “focus on the football” this weekend and not repeat the shameful scenes which marred the first Old Firm game between the sides this season. Effigies of Rangers fans were hung from the Celtic Park upper tier, while the toilets in the away end were completely destroyed. Funeral of Tommy Gemmell
The Celtic family and wider public will today come together to remember the life of Tommy Gemmell after the club legend passed away last week.
