Rangers eye Poyet

Rangers are considering a move for Diego Poyet after agreeing a deal in principle to release Joey Barton from his 20,000-a-week contract.

The 21-year-old midfielder is a free agent after leaving the London Stadium this past summer. He signed for West Ham from Charlton Athletic in 2014. (The Sun)

QPR consider McInnes

Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes is on the wanted list of the QPR board as they seek to find a replacement for Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

After struggling at Bristol City, McInnes has rebuilt his reputation in the north east, winning the league cup in 2014 and finishing runner-up to Celtic in consecutive seasons.

The Dons boss is on the shortlist alongside the likes of Tim Sherwood, Paul Clement and Karl Robinson. (The Sun)

Burke must play against England

Scotland’s teenage winger Oliver Burke should be unleashed against England at Wembley tomorrow evening, according to Paul Lambert.
