Rangers eye move for ex-West Ham starlet Diego Poyet, Derek McInnes is wanted by Queens Park Rangers to be their new manager, and Martyn Waghorn could be on his way out of Ibrox after an alleged bust-up with Mark Warburton.

Rangers are considering a move for Diego Poyet after agreeing a deal in principle to release Joey Barton from his 20,000-a-week contract.

The 21-year-old midfielder is a free agent after leaving the London Stadium this past summer. He signed for West Ham from Charlton Athletic in 2014. (The Sun)

QPR consider McInnes

Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes is on the wanted list of the QPR board as they seek to find a replacement for Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

After struggling at Bristol City, McInnes has rebuilt his reputation in the north east, winning the league cup in 2014 and finishing runner-up to Celtic in consecutive seasons.

The Dons boss is on the shortlist alongside the likes of Tim Sherwood, Paul Clement and Karl Robinson. (The Sun)
