Wolves sign Barry Douglas

Wolves have “agreed a deal in principle” to sign defender Barry Douglas from Turkish club Konyaspor.

The Championship side say “talks are ongoing to conclude the deal” for the 27-year-old Scot, who joined Konyaspor on a three-and-a-half-year deal from Polish side Lech Poznan last year.

Douglas began his career in his native Scotland with Queen’s Park, before moving to Dundee United in 2010. (BBC)

Rangers face UEFA probe over paper balls

Rangers face an investigation by UEFA after a section of their support launched balls of paper on to the field during Thursday’s game with Progres Niederkorn.

Making their return to the European arena after a six-year absence, play was briefly disrupted during the first half when fans in the lower section of the Broomloan Road stand threw the remnants of a ‘tifo’ display into the goalmouth. (Mail)

Motherwell slam Hearts’ offer for Cadden

Motherwell boss Steve Robinson says Hearts’ bid for midfielder Chris Cadden was far too low to be taken seriously.

Robinson, who on Friday completed the signing of defender Charles Dunne, confirmed Well recently rejected a Jambos bid for 20-year-old Cadden.
