Gers eye January swoop for Wolves winger

RANGERS are plotting a January move for Wolves winger Mekhi Leacock-McLeod, after the 19-year-old played and scored in an Under-20s bounce game against Airdrie.

Able to play on either wing or behind the main striker, Leacock-McLeod would likely sign on at Ibrox as an academy player.

Deila plots Mocinic swoop

RONNY Deila is lining up another Croatian raid, with Rijeka midfielder Ivan Mocinic the latest player to be linked with a move to Celtic.

The 22-year-old, who has made more than 120 appearances for the Croatian outfit, was in line to play at the 2014 World Cup until injury forced him to pull out.

Hoops ‘turned down Seamus Coleman’

Micky Doherty, who alerted Everton to the marauding full-back, revealed that Burnley and Celtic had both ‘turned their noses up’ at the player.

Coleman, then with Sligo Rovers, signed for Everton for a bargain £60,000. He is set to make his 200th appearance for the Toffees this week. (Liverpool Echo)

Rangers ban beards from Murray Park

HEAD of Rangers’ academy Craig Mulholland has revealed that all youth players at the club must be clean shaven when they report for training.

Mulholland said: “Traditionally, Rangers players were always clean shaven. So in the academy, all the players have to be clean shaven in the morning.” (The Scotsman)

ALAN Stubbs has ruled out the possibility of Derek Riordan signing for Hibernian for a third time.

LAWYERS acting for former Rangers boss Charles Green are appealing a legal decision which allows the club to not pay the businessman’s legal bills.

The businessman’s legal team believe judge Lord Doherty acted incorrectly when he ruled last month that the Ibrox club aren’t legally obliged to pay his costs.
