Charles Green facing sack after emergency meeting

Former Rangers chief executive Charles Green is facing a vote on his future, with his conduct since arriving back at Ibrox being described as immoral and unethical.

Craig Mather announced that a board meeting is to be called within the next seven days to discuss Mr Green’s conduct.

Angry calls for Green to be sacked were made by fans as Mather met more than 200 influential Rangers supporters. They had demanded the showdown given recent events at Ibrox and the exit of chairman Walter Smith. (Various)

Mo Bangura hit out at Celtic captain Scott Brown after Brown refused to shake the on-loan striker’s hand after their Champions League tie on Wednesday night. Bangura said he was disappointed with Brown’s attitude during and after the game, where heated exchanges between the two took place.

Pink Floyd’s Wall could see both Celtic’s play-offs at Parkhead

Celtic could end up playing both their Champions League play-off matches at Parkhead if they draw Bulgarians Ludogorets Razgrad thanks to Pink Floyd.

Bulgaria only has one suitable venue for Champions League matches – the Vasil Levski National Stadium in Sofia.

However, that is being used as the venue for a concert by Pink Floyd founder Roger Waters, who is performing his rock extravaganza concert The Wall Live at the end of the month. (Various)
