Celtic say they will only take Manchester City's Patrick Roberts on a long term loan, Rangers have completed the signing of Billy King from Hearts on loan and Southampton's Harrison Reid is also a target.

Celtic want long-term loan deal for Patrick Roberts

Ronny Deila says Celtic are keen to secure a long terms loan deal for Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts.

The £11m rated player is only being offered to the Parkhead side until the summer however Deila wants to take the player on a 12 to 18 month

King joins Rangers Gets eye loan swoop for Harrison Reed

RANGERS could dip into the loan market again to land Southampton midfielder Harrison Reed on a deal until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old is on Mark Warburton’s radar and talks are being held between the two clubs, with Rangers hopeful of sealing a deal in the next two days. (Daily Mail)

HEARTS winger Billy King has joined Rangers on loan until the end of the season.

The clubs have agreed the surprise deal, with Hearts understood to be keen for the player to get more game time in the Championship.

The Tynecastle side have wingers Jamie Walker and Sam Nicholson due back from injury while King could make his debut against Falkirk on Saturday. (The Scotsman)

St Johnstone boss accuses SPFL of disrespect

Tommy Wright has accused the SPFL of two counts of ‘disrespect’ towards the Perth club ahead of their League Cup semi-final showdown with Hibs. MARK Warburton believes Rangers forward Barrie McKay is good enough for the English Premier League.

Just a few months after suggesting ‘keeper Wes Foderingham could one day play for England, Warburton was keen to draw attention to another Ibrox star.

He said: “If he wants to, Barrrie has the opportunity to go and play and the very highest level too.
