Aberdeen make Celtic wait for title

The Dons were in emphatic form thrashing Dundee 7 - 0 in a match that saw Derek McInnes side four goals up at half time.

A victory for the Dens Park side would have handed Celtic the title however Brendan Rodgers can claim the Premiership crown with victory over Hearts at Tynecastle on Sunday. (Scotsman)

Chris Sutton slams FIFA over England fixture

Former Celtic striker, writing in his Daily Record column, has criticised FIFA for their decision to place international qualifiers close to Champions League qualification games.

“FIFA and UEFA have shown for a very long time that they don’t care a jot about smaller nations such as Scotland and this just proves the point.

“How can you arrange an international match date which comes just 19 days before Aberdeen, Rangers and either St Johnstone, Hearts or Hibs will be starting their Europa League campaigns. Celtic get going a fortnight after that. (for the Champions League)” (Record)

He said: “Well Rangers are on fire at the moment,” Sutton told BT Sport in a sarcastic tone.

“Pedro has gone in, everything is positive, they have won one game and they are going to win the World Cup.”

Neil Lennon hit back at Morton manager Jim Duffy during an angry press conference rant yesterday, exacerbating a feud that seems to be growing in rancour.

The pair had to be pulled apart as the Championship match between their sides descended into a mass brawl on Wednesday night and there are no signs of peace breaking out any time soon, with Lennon claiming this fracas was “20 times worse” than the coming together between himself and Ally McCoist at the end of an Old Firm game in 2011.
