Caixinha set for Ibrox

Pedro Caixinha will become the next manager of Rangers once the Portuguese coach gets the blessing of Al-Gharafa owner Sheikh Jassim Bin Thamer Al Thani to leave the Qatari side. Rangers are hopeful they will be able to conclude the deal prior to this Sunday’s match against Celtic at Parkhead, though Graeme Murty will remain in charge of the Light Blues for the fixture regardless. Ross Wilson rejects Rangers

Ross Wilson has turned down the chance to become the next director of football at Rangers, choosing instead to stay in his role of director of recruitment at Southampton. It is understood the 34-year-old was convinced into staying at St Mary’s by Saints’ executive director Les Reed. (Daily Mail)

Pawlett to sign for MK Dons

Peter Pawlett is set to leave Aberdeen this summer as the 26-year-old nears a pre-contract deal to join former Hearts boss Robbie Neilson at MK Dons. The midfielder had been in contract talks to extend his stay at Pittodrie. (Scottish Sun)

Rangers join Berra chase

Hearts face competition from Rangers in their pursuit of Scotland centre-back Christophe Berra. Both clubs want to bring the 32-year-old north this summer if he secures his exit from Ipswich Town. The English Championship side have an option to extend Berra’s contract for another season beyond this campaign but the player is keen to return to Scotland. (Evening News)
