Thousands of Hibs and Hearts fans were able to bypass the television blackout of last night’s Edinburgh derby and watch the match in the comfort of their own home via social media.
Using Periscope, a live video streaming app own by Twitter, supporters at the match were able to broadcast the action live for friends and family (and their Twitter followers) who were unable to secure tickets for the sold out fixture. (Scotsman)
