The 30-year-old midfielder was last contracted to Wigry Suwalki in Poland but has also recently spent time in Australia playing with A-League outfit Perth Glory.

He follows Marcus Fraser, Cameron Burgess and Craig Curran in joining the Dingwall club this month.

Manager McIntyre said: “I am delighted to welcome Darvydas to the club.

“He has 35 international caps for Lithuania under his belt, bringing a wealth of experience to the squad.”

The Staggies need all the help they can get.

They currently sit bottom of the Scottish Premiership four points behind 11th-placed St Mirren but with two games in hand.

Sernas, who can play in midfield or in attack, started his career with hometown club Dainava Alytus.

He played 134 matches for FK Vetra, facing Hibernian in the Inter Toto cup in July 2004.

He scored 28 goals for Vetra, before spells with Russian outfit Spartak Nalchik, Polish clubs Widzew Lodz and Zaglebie Lubin and Gaziantepspor in Turkey.
