The 21-year-old played 40 times for Greenock Morton last term while on loan from the Scottish champions.

He helped Jim Duffy’s side reach the semi-finals of the Betfred Cup and qualify for the Scottish Premiership play-offs, where they were defeated by Dundee United.

With his contract due to expire at the end of this coming season, Lindsay will look to establish himself at the higher level, and perhaps do enough to earn an extension at Parkhead by impressing Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers.
