Rose drawn with Lochee

THE draw for the semi-finals of the Emirates Scottish Junior cup was made last night and threw up two mouth-watering ties, writes JOHN GILMOUR.

Lochee United, finalists in 2004/05, were drawn at home in the first leg of a home and away format tie to Linlithgow with the other three sides in the competition having to wait on a replay. The winners of the Largs v Irvine Meadow game will be at home in the first leg to Clydebank, last season's runners-up. The first games are due to be played on Saturday 10 April.

The draw means that today's Super League match between Lochee United and Linlithgow is now effectively a dress rehearsal for the semi-final.
