Form

St Johnstone: WLWWWDWWLW (6th)
Rangers: WWWDLDWWWW (1st)
St Johnstone’s good form saw them sneak into the top six on the final day of the regular season pre-Premiership split. However their record at McDiarmid Park has seen eight defeats at home from 17 games and just eight goals scored.
Rangers on the other hand are continuing to go the league season unbeaten and could take a step to smashing a club record points tally with another win in Perth – their last came in December with goals from Glen Kamara, Kemar Roofe and Ianis Hagi.
Team news
James Tavernier is close to a first-team return having been named on the bench for the weekend win over Celtic in the Scottish Cup. deputising right-back Nathan patterson has impressed but he could be missing depending on the outcome of his SFA disciplinary appeal hearing to be decided this week.
For the hosts, Murray Davidson is still out after limping off against Rangers back in February.
Previous Meetings
Rangers defeated the Perth Saints 3-0 in two meetings this season – with Joe Aribo impressive in both encounters.
Ianis Hagi has scored in two games against the Perth Saints too – hitting the winner in a 1-0 win at Ibrox in February as well as the third in the last league match before Christmas.
