Talks are ongoing to establish how far through the football pyramid the new measures will go, but early indications were positive fans would still see their teams, in the top flight at least.
Transfer targets will also be unaffected by the travel restrictions, which is good news for clubs hoping to do business in the January window.
The buying and selling period is open and already there has been a little movement in the Scottish Premiership, with another four weeks of activity anticipated.
