Celtic’s stars continue to attract interest while Hearts made the biggest signing of the day – literally – by landing Ivorian giant Armand Gnanduillet from under the noses of a host of English clubs.

Rangers announce Wright

Rangers have announced the signing of Scott Wright on a pre-contract agreement. The Aberdeen attacker’s deal is up at the end of the campaign when he will move to Ibrox on a three-year contract. However, Rangers are still trying to push through a move this month. (Scottish Sun)

St Johnstone have signed Rangers winger Glenn Middleton on loan for the rest of the 2020/21 campaign, the club have announced. The 21-year-old has had previous loan spells with Hibs and Bradford City after falling down the pecking order at Ibrox. (Various)

New Rangers signing compared to Ibrox hero

Hammond ‘shouldn’t be trusted’

Former Celtic star Kris Commons believes the club’s head of recruitment Nicky Hammond should not be trusted to lead their transfer business in both the January and summer transfer windows after “a litany of woeful signings”. (Daily Mail)

Celtic set to lose out on duo

Celtic look like they could lose out on signing Preston duo Ben Davies and Ben Pearson with Bournemouth poised to snatch up the pair on pre-contract deals. The Parkhead side have been interested in both players for several months but the attempt to sign the two stars has been delayed due to the ongoing uncertainty around manager Neil Lennon’s long-term future at the club. ‘A steal on a free transfer’

Hearts’ recruitment of Armand Gnanduillet has been welcomed down Gorgie way - and hailed down by the Tower.

As the former Blackpool striker signed up at Tynecastle his former fan club gave Hearts fans the low-down on what to expect - and they were very complimentary.

Away from the transfer window for a moment - Ross County’s Michael Gardyne will not face any further punishment over a flare up in last month’s match between the Highland side and Rangers.
