The action gets underway on Friday night with Arbroath v Dundee under the lights on BBC Scotland. The biggest games of the weekend will come at Hampden Park with the Betfred Cup semi-finals. St Johnstone v Hibs are first up on the Saturday, while St Mirren face in-form Livingston on the Sunday.

In the league duty, Hearts will be looking to strengthen their position at the top of the Championship as they face Raith Rovers and Rangers their position in the Premiership, they face Ross County with Celtic not playing.

In the background, the transfer window will continue to rumble on as it enters its fourth week ahead of it closing on Monday, February 1.

Hearts, Hibs, St Mirren, Ross County and Livingston have all been busy with more business likely to be done in the coming days, especially involving the Tynecastle side and the Staggies.

There doesn’t, however, appear to be any activity happening at Celtic or Rangers with much of the intrigue surrounding Neil Lennon and his future. Former Bournmeouth boss Eddie Howe has been made odds-on favourites to become the new Parkhead manager, while Charlie Nicholas has suggested his former side look further afield to a huge name like Xavi or Xabi Alonso with the Spanish legends taking their first steps in management and coaching.

We will have all the latest from around the SPFL throughout the day as it happens.
