The market in Scottish football has witnessed a surge in movement with plenty more expected. it showed its propensity to surprise with deals out of the blue when Jeremie Frimpoing completed a switch to Bayer Leverkusen from Celtic during the week and then Jason Cummings pitched up at Dundee on Thursday in what was quite the coup for the Championship side.
It is set to have a knock-on effect with Neil Lennon keen to add a defender to his squad. He is not the only one eyeing signings with Hearts boss Robbie Neilson hoping for a couple more, while any players sales could impact business done by clubs.
Both Hibs and Aberdeen have been subject to bids for star players. If the offers are deemed too good to turn down Jack Ross and Derek McInnes may be left scrambling to fill the hole left in their respective squads by departures as they challenge for third place with Livingston roaring up not far behind.
It could be set up for a hectic transfer deadline day, the such which excites a certain yellow-decked broadcaster. It will follow a weekend of football with nine fixtures from the Premiership and Championship which are all being played on Saturday.
We will have all the latest from around the SPFL throughout the day as and when it happens, including all the transfer speculation.
