

In this month of trading, clubs are often engaged in plenty of wheeling and dealing to strengthen squads ahead of the title – or relegation – run-ins, but things have been quiet for the first fortnight of 2021.
Hibs have landed three players, Hearts are seeking a target man, Ragers have let a winger head out on loan and their interest in Aberdeen’s Scott Wright is now being discussed publicly.

Hide AdHowever that aside, it’s away from the transfer market, and away from the pitch, things are really developing.
Yesterday’s explosive comments from Neil Lennon fuelled more debate over Celtic’s trip to Dubai for training which has brought widespread comment and controversy from the fans, authorities, Scottish Government and media pundits.
Now with a review into the Northern Irishman’s management ongoing behind the scenes at Parkhead a former Hoops striker has thrown a few leftfield alternatives into the managerial mix, though Eddie Howe remains the bookies’ favourite.
There might not be much to talk about on the transfer front, but there will be plenty to keep Scottish football fans occupied today and for the remainder of the month, even with the lower leagues in abeyance for now.
