It seems like it is only a matter of time before Scottish football enters a shutdown due to the coronavirus outbreak. The UK Government announced plans to move from the contain phase to the delay phase on Thursday. The Scottish Government announced that mass gatherings of 500 people or more would be banned from Monday.

However, due to incidents which came to light on Thursday night in the Premier League, English football is set to be postponed this weekend. As of yet, Scottish football is still going ahead with the Old Firm game primed to take place on Sunday, followed by Livingston v Hearts. The future after the weekend is far from clear.
