Rangers starlet tipped for loan move

Ex-Rangers ace Alan Hutton has tipped midfielder Jamie Barjonas to leave on loan this summer, possibly to the EFL.

The Ibrox starlet has impressed in pre-season but Hutton can’t see him breaking into the first team on a regular basis.

Barjonas has been linked with Ayr United, Barrow and Burton Albion amongst others.

Hutton told Football Insider: “It’s difficult for them to take chances but at the same time, if he goes out and proves to the manager he can handle these sorts of occasions then I don’t see why not.

“I must admit I probably think that Gerrard sees a lot of the youngsters, aside from (Nathan) Patterson probably, to probably go out on loan and get the game time that they need. They’re still so young before coming back and trying to integrate into the actual team.”

Coronavirus concerns

The Scottish FA/SPFL’s Joint Response Group have contacted a trio of Premiership clubs regarding their Covid-19 testing protocols.
