It was another eventful weekend in Scottish football as the lower leagues started up once more, 30 teams beginning their truncated season.

In the Premiership there was of course the small matter of the first Old Firm clash of the season which saw Rangers land an early blow on rivals Celtic, opening up a four point lead at the top and being placed as favourites to win their first top-flight title since 2011.

There was also more coronavirus woe for St Mirren and Motherwell with the game between the two at the weekend postponed, the second time it has happened late on for the Steelmen.
