In the Premiership there was of course the small matter of the first Old Firm clash of the season which saw Rangers land an early blow on rivals Celtic, opening up a four point lead at the top and being placed as favourites to win their first top-flight title since 2011.
There was also more coronavirus woe for St Mirren and Motherwell with the game between the two at the weekend postponed, the second time it has happened late on for the Steelmen.

The Scottish Government have rejected a bid from Aberdeen to host a fan test event for their clash with Celtic on Sunday. Dons chief Dave Cormack revealed on social media that the club applied for 1,000 fans to be able to watch the game at Pittodrie. He was reportedly given a “polite no”. 3. Ajer's role in Rangers goal questioned

4. Ross wants coronavirus rule change
Motherwell coach Mauric Ross feels St Mirren should be punished with the three points for the late postponement of the league fixture with the Steelmen on Saturday.
