It was a successful night in the Europa League for Scotland’s two representatives.
Celtic, already knocked out, earned some pride with a 3-2 win over Lille at Parkhead with David Turnbull putting in a starring performance after being awarded a start. In Poland, Rangers secured top spot in their group with a 2-0 victory against Lech Poznan ensuring they will be seeded for the draw.
Those results helped keep Scotland in 11th place in the coefficient table which should bring with it an automatic spot for the Champions League. Meanwhile, on the domestic front there is Championship football this evening as Ayr United face Raith Rovers.

6. Duffy won't be recalled
Shane Duffy has been backed to succeed at Celtic from the manager who loaned him to the club. Brighton boss Graham Potter revealed he has no plans to recall the centre-back who has struggled since moving to Parkhead. Potter said: “He is a fighter and he’s a good character. 7. Positive talks over deals for Hearts duo
Hearts boss Robbie Neilson has revealed positive talks with key duo Michael Smith and Stephen Kingsley. The full-back pairing are out of contract at the end of the season. Brexit is set to scupper a quick Rangers deal for Colombian teenage ace Juan Alegria. The Ibrox side are keen on signing the forward from Honka in Finland but he would not meet the criteria for a work permit.
