The Romanian play-maker helped unlock the Perth defence for Kemar Roofe to score in the first half and then watched as Glen Kamara tucked away an ideally weighted Joe Aribo through-ball for the second, before finding the net himself shortly after the break.

But Hagi has revealed an off-field bonus for cooking up a storm at McDiarmid Park – some home comforts.

Taking to Twitter, he revealed he’ll be treated to his mum’s special Christmas cooking as a reward for scoring his third goal of the season.

He tweeted: “Got the three points. Back home now, Ma’ told me she’ll cook Romanian Christmas dishes if I score,” coupled with a mouthwatering emoji.
