Steven Gerrard names Rangers team line-up v Slavia Prague with Europa League quarter-final place at stake

Steven Gerrard has picked his starting line-up to face Slavia Prague in what the manager has dubbed ‘the biggest game’ since he joined the club.

A place among the last eight teams in this season’s Europa League is at stake for the team who triumphs at Ibrox with the encounter finely balanced at the half-way stage 1-1 on aggregate but with an away goal tilting the favour ever so slightly in the newly crowned Scottish champions’ favour.

Rangers were eliminated at this stage of last season’s competition, with defeat over two legs to German giants Bayer Leverkusen but progress into the last eight has not been achieved since Walter Smith’s UEFA Cup runners-up in Manchester back in 2008.

Gerrard’s side are unbeaten in Europe this season and have only lost once throughout the entire campaign.

The side the manager has selected to take the Light Blues through to the quarter finals at the similarly domestically unbeaten Czech league leaders, is below.
