The Ibrox said Police Scotland have been notified after emails purporting to be from the club were reported by fans. They explained to fans how to spot the difference between genuine and phishing emails.

They wrote on Twitter: “We have informed Police Scotland re a malicious email account purporting to be representative of Rangers FC. This is entirely untrue and inaccurate. All official email accounts end with (@rangers.co.uk or (@e.rangers.co.uk.).”
