Neither Celtic or Rangers are in action but there is the exciting Scottish Cup semi-finals with Dundee United against Hibs and St Mirren facing St Johnstone.

Below the Premiership it is all about the play-offs. Raith Rovers and Dunfermline duke it out for a chance to play Dundee, while Kelty Hearts look to get over the line against Brora Rangers.

Meanwhile, in the SWPL 1, Rangers and Glasgow City face off in a top of the table clash which could have huge ramifications for the destination of the title.

Rangers have been tipped to sign “one or two" new players in the “coming weeks”. Steven Gerrard has already added striker Fashion Sakala to the team for next season. Club legend Barry Ferguson reckons a couple of more signings will follow soon as Rangers prepare for next season. (Go Radio)

Dave Cormack reckons Aberdeen will target players out of contract as Stephen Glass revamps his squad. The Dons have been linked with Motherwell centre-back Declan Gallagher whose contract expires at the end of the season. Cormack said: "I think you'll see in the coming days and weeks some announcements that Stephen Glass and his team will make on players coming in for next season." (Aberdeen FC)

Celtic and Rangers are in talks with the Lowland League over entering Colts team into the league next season. The one season agreement would see the Old Firm enter second string sides but they won’t be able to win promotion to the SPFL. The idea has the backing of the Lowland League board and now requires backing from the clubs. (Scottish Sun)

Kyle Lafferty is open to staying at Kilmarnock even if the club are relegated. The Northern Irishman signed a short-term deal until the end of the season and has emerged as a talisman, scoring ten goals in nine appearances. Killie currently sit 11th. He said: “I would obviously like to stay in the Premiership, but I have a great connection with the manager and I would like to play at Rugby Park with the fans in.” (Various)

Odsonne Edouard is set to miss a raft of Celtic European matches and possibly the start of the new league season if he stays at the club. The striker will likely be called up for France’s Olympic team who will face Mexico, South Africa and Japan in Tokyo in late July. (Scottish Sun)

Celtic supremo Dermot Desmond remains confident of convincing Eddie Howe to take over the club. Despite the season nearing its end and the disposed champions having plenty of work to do to catch Rangers no announcement has been made, much to the disbelief of fans. However, Howe is expected to still replace Neil Lennon. (Daily Record)

Jermain Defoe has been tipped to stay at Rangers for one more year. The veteran striker showed his class against Celtic at the weekend with a wonderful goal. His contract expires this summer but Gabriel Agbonlahor reckons there could be a “surprise… late negotiation and he stays one more year.” (Football Insider)
