Philippe Clement’s Rangers side head into this weekend’s Old Firm match with Celtic knowing nothing less than a win will do if they are to keep their dream of winning Scottish Premiership alive.
Celtic hold the advantage in the title race and are currently three points ahead of their Glasgow rivals with a superior goal difference (+58 to Rangers +53). However, should Rangers obtain their first win at Celtic Park since October 2020, it would set up a blockbuster finish to the Scottish Premiership season.
Clement has a number of injury issues heading into the game though, with Leon Balogun doubtful and Connor Goldson, Abdallah Sima and Rabbi Matondo all ruled out. The Belgian boss must also decide whether to restore Tom Lawrence to the side after last week’s impressive cameo from the bench or stick with Todd Cantwell in midfield.
There’s question marks at left-back to. Will Ridvan Yilmaz be recalled in place of the out of form Borna Barisic? There’s plenty to ponder for the Belgian with less than 24 hours to go.
