Joe Aribo and his midfield accomplice Hagi helped cut St Johnstone open in the first half to ease Steven Gerrard’s side into the half-time lead and once Hagi added the third immediately after the break, Rangers could relax a little.
They brought Alfredo Morelos off the bench in the second half to take part in the win after his suspension and maintained a 16-point margin at the top of the table.
