How Rangers players rated in 2-0 SPFL Premiership win over Livingston at Ibrox

Steven Gerrard said he would freshen his team up against Livingston on the back of three straight 2-0 wins for the Ibrox side.

He had to make changes anyway with Borna Barisic pulling up against Standard Liege to be replaced by his ‘rough diamond’ Calvin Bassey and added four more from the midweek victory.

Gerrard also had Jordan Jones, George Edmundson and Jermain Defoe at his disposal – the trio were left out of the Europa League 24-man squad, but were available for SPFL duty and the latter showed he has plenty to offer domestically with a key role in both goals.

It was the Englishman’s shot, on his first start since January, that was pushed out by Max Stryjek and rolled cross goal by Ianis Hagi for Joe Aribo’s tapped opener.

And then the former West Ham man converted with a lovely weighted finish from James Tavernier’s long ball from the right.

Here’s how the Rangers players rated in the Premiership win that extends Rangers’ lead at the top of the league to six points.
