Bafana Bafana will face off against São Tomé and Príncipe home and away in the space of three days as Group C gets back underway after almost a year of inactivity.

Zungu, who signed for the Ibrox club at the end of the summer transfer window, didn’t make it into the squad for this month’s friendly double-header against Namibia and Zambia.

The Amiens midfielder is yet to make his bow for the Light Blues after joining on loan as he’s been waiting to clear quarantine before joining his new team-mates for training.

The 28-year-old was quick to thank his new club on social media after Rangers tweeted their congratulations.

Zungu has chalked up 29 appearances for his country since making his debut back in 2013. He’s netted four times, including twice at the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
