In the caption he wrote: "Today, after 10 years of treatment and check ups, I finally got the all clear for my Follicular Lymphoma Cancer diagnosis!

"A huge thank you to this amazing and wonderful medical staff at Rigshospitalet."

The Dane revealed in 2016 how pioneering immunotherapy was helping him win the battle against the blood disease.

The treatment involved implanting genetically modified cancer-killing white blood cells into his body.

The 51-year-old played just four years at Ibrox but was undeniably one of the most beloved players in the club's history.

In total he won five trophies with Rangers, including three league titles, before leaving for Chelsea in 1998.
