Saturday brought about a few key results in the Scottish Premiership with pressure mounting on Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes following a 2-0 defeat to Hibs.

Livingston were unable to close the gap to the Dons, with defeat to St Johnstone ending their 14-game unbeaten run. Down at the bottom, Kilmarnock are in desperate need of a new manager following defeat to St Mirren.

This afternoon sees Rangers travel to Hamilton Accies.

Meanwhile, despite the transfer window being closed, clubs will still be looking ahead to the summer.

Rangers signing Nnamdi Ofoborh is "buzzing” to join the club in the summer. The midfielder, on loan at Wycombe, agreed a pre-contract with his Bournemouth deal set to expire at the end of the season. The player has been lured by the chance of Champions League football and said it's a “bit surreal... joining a club like Rangers.” (Daily Record)

Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes has claimed he loves the club “more than any other supporter”. He is coming under increasing pressure from fans following a 2-0 defeat to Hibs at Easter Road on Saturday. Celtic defender Jack Hendry is currently starring on loan at Belgian club Oostende. The Jupiler Pro League side are now eyeing up a permanent move having agreed a purchase option when negotiating the loan deal understood to be around £1.75m. Oostende’s sporting director Gauthier Ganaye said: "If we take that option and we can convince him, he will stay with us longer”. (Daily Record)

Kilmarnock are hopeful they will appoint a new manager on Monday morning. Killie sunk to another defeat keeping them tenth, five points off the bottom. Alex Dyer departed last weekend. Neil Lennon has revealed the club are allowing Hatem Abd Elhamed to return to Israel. A fee has been agreed with his former club Hapoel Be’er Sheeva. The Celtic boss admitted that the player was struggling with his wife and son back in his homeland. (The Scotsman)

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has thanked the club’s board for the backing and patience they have shown with him. The Liverpool legend revealed before taking the job he told the board they would have to support him in “tough moments”. He wasn’t surprised by the support and will “always be grateful for it”.
