The Anfield legend has transformed Rangers across the past three seasons with the Ibrox side on the verge of winning their first title in nearly a decade.
Naturally, with Gerrard’s standing in England where he was such a success as a player with Liverpool there is an expectation that he will move to the Premier League.

He said: "Stevie has been in the Premier League for his whole footballing career so I’m pretty sure he’ll have some desire to manage in England one day, I’m pretty sure that has always been the aim.
"In football, it’s a matter of when doors open and whether it fits his situation.”
Johnson, who played with Gerrard across six seasons at Anfield, knew from early on that the 40-year-old was destined to go into management.
“He loves the game and knows it inside out,” he said, speaking on behalf of CheltenhamGuides.com. “You always knew he was going on to be a manager and he got a fantastic job early on which has been great for him.
"He’s still learning and is very young in terms of being a manager. He’ll be enjoying the experience and has shown what he is capable of doing and I think he’s doing an absolutely fantastic job.”
