Rangers fans hope "cobwebs dusted off" against Hibs ahead of Celtic cup clash next week

But attention quickly turned to next weekend’s scheduled Scottish Cup match with Celtic.

Gavin Cook: “That’s 17 league wins on the spin at Ibrox. Pretty good stat.”

Greig Curran: “Need to be much better next week they ran through us too easy far too many times.”

James Connelly: “We miss Jack, next week will be a different challenge, we will need to be tougher in midfield, job for Arfield, we don't need to chase the game, we have the flair to trouble them

Steven McNeill: “Tough game… Hibs possibly deserved a point for their efforts but two great goals by The Rangers. Job done!"

Steven Mckee: ”Played like a team that won the league a month ago and didn’t want to over exert itself.”

Chris Xuereb: “Another win in the bag. Not enough tempo in the game and were slack in possession. Wouldn’t have grumbled if Hibs took something from that game.”

David Mckillen: “Bit stop start today, but a good three points. Defence picks itself next week – Morelos and Kent definitely starts, but midfield? I've got a feeling that Wright will start in there somewhere. For the rest I've not got a clue.”
