Rangers fans hold minute's applause in support of manager Steven Gerrard during Ibrox clash with Hamilton

Home support paid tribute to English boss in 8th minute

Rangers fans at Ibrox showed their support for manager Steven Gerrard with a minute’s applause during their match with Hamilton Accies.

A pre-arranged tribute was organised by a group of supporters for the eighth minute during the Scottish Premiership clash.

This comes after it was reported Gerrard was considering his future after the 1-0 exit to Hearts in the Scottish Cup on Saturday evening.

The Liverpool legend later stated that he was fully committed to the club, though some still felt it necessary to show they are fully behind the manager.

The team were heavily criticised by fans in the wake of the Tynecastle defeat as it looks almost certain that Rangers will finish another season with a major trophy.

They do, however, have a last 16 tie with Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League to look forward to.
