Rangers face a battle to sign teenage striker Charlie Allen.

The Ibrox side have been linked with a move for the 16-year-old Linfield star but there is stiff competition with interest from the likes of Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool and Manchester City.

However, according to The Scotsman’s sister title Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United are in pole position.

Allen has already made a host of appearances for Northern Ireland giants Linfield who are managed by former Ibrox striker David Healy.

He made his debut aged just 15 years, five months and five days.

With the uncertainty surrounding clubs’ finances, no deal is expected imminently which could open the door for Rangers to make a move.

Linfield’s academy director Glenn Ferguson has advised the player against moving to one of England’s elite sides.

Meanwhile, reports in France suggest Marseille are tracking Glen Kamara.

The Finnish international has previously been linked with Juventus.

It is reported by France Football that he caught the eye of the former European Cup winners while playing for his national side.

Kamara is understood to have a price tag of between €8million and €10million.
