St Johnstone eased past Hibs with an impressive 3-0 victory before Livingston edged out St Mirren 1-0 to continue their fantastic run under boss David Martindale. In the Premiership there were wins for both Aberdeen and Rangers, while the Championship saw the top three of Hearts, Dunfermline and Dundee all drop points as Queen of the South continued their march up the table.

It is set to be a very busy week in Scottish football. There is a full Premiership fixture-card on Wednesday with three Championship games across Tuesday and Wednesday. On top of that, we have entered the home straight of the transfer window with it closing next Monday.

Some clubs will be frantically trying to finalise their squads for the remainder of the season:

Rangers are set to announce the signing of Scott Wright on a pre-contract agreement. The Aberdeen forward played in the club’s 2-0 win over Motherwell at the weekend but his Dons career is coming to an end at the end of the season when he will move to Ibrox on a three-year contract. However, a deal could still be done for the move to happen this month. (Scottish Sun)

St Johnstone are on the verge of sealing a loan deal for Glenn Middleton. The Rangers winger will join the Saints until the end of the season.The 21-year-old has had previous loan spells with Hibs and Bradford City after falling down the pecking order at Ibrox. (Various)

Odsonne Edouard is a target for Premier League side West Ham United. David Moyes is looking to add to his attacking options following the £20m sale of Sebastian Haller to Ajax. The Hammers are willing to pay up to £35m. (Daily Star)

Dundee United sporting director Tony Asghar has slammed the Scottish Government for their treatment of Scottish football compared to rugby and admitted the club were dubious about continuing to play with no money coming in. He said “They are effectively thinking of working-class males who come to the football, drink beer, shout abuse and maybe fight later on.” (Scottish Sun)

Kilmarnock are weighing up a move for George Oakley. The striker is currently training with Killie with a view to a deal. The former Hamilton Accies and Inverness CT star has most recently been playing in Bulgaria. (Daily Record)

Walsall have, in a statement, they have not agreed terms with Hearts for a deal for striker Elijah Adebayo. However, the player has agreed terms with the Edinburgh club having held talks. Hearts are now keen for the move to go ahead this month. (Evening News)

Celtic have made no move to appoint Rafa Benitez as their next manager. There were strong reports that following his departure from the Chinese Super League side Dalian Pro he was set to replace Neil Lennon. However, no decision has been made over the future of the Celtic boss. (Daily Record)

England's top clubs have been tipped to look to Scotland to sign players following the success of Kieran Tierney, Andy Robertson and John McGinn. Broadcaster Jim White reckons Alfredo Morelos, Odsonne Edouard, Ryan Kent, Ryan Chrisite and James Tavernier will be interesting clubs. (Sunday People)
