it was yet another busy weekend in Scottish football, on and off the pitch and, of course, in the transfer market with plenty of speculation swirling around.

Celtic's isloation wait

Celtic face a nervous wait to see if the first-team squad and management will have to self-isolate following their mid-season training camp to Dubai. While one player has tested positive for coronavirus, the Scottish Government have put in place a quarantine for those returning from the UAE city. It is unclear yet whether Celtic will be granted ‘elite sports' status for their trip. (Various)

Parkhead target set for Belgium

Filip Benkovic is on the verge of a move to Belgium and will undergo a medical. The centre-back has been linked with a return to Celtic from Leicester City but will join OH Leuven who have close ties to the Foxes. (Football Insider)

Saints boss confident on duo

St Johnstone boss Callum Davidson is “optimistic" that David Wotherspoon and Scott Tanser will sign new contracts. Saints have already secured centre-back Liam Gordon on a new deal. Tanser has reported interest from England and is one of 11 out of contract at the end of the season. (The Courier)

Striker exits Pittodrie

Aberdeen have confirmed striker Ryan Edmondson has returned to parent club Leeds United following the conclusion of his loan spell. The 19-year-old, who came on late against Rangers, scored twice in 16 games. (Aberdeen FC)

Old Firm ‘target’ wanted by Serie A giants

Manchester United's Jesse Lingard could be set for a move to Serie A with Inter Milan interested. The Italian giants have taken on a number of players who were unwanted at Old Trafford and the midfielder could be the latest. The England international has been linked with both Celtic and Rangers. Brown deal?

Celtic Scott Brown could be offered a year extension to remain at Parkhead. The club captain is out of contract at the end of the season and has seen his playing time decrease following the emergence of Ismaila Soro. (Various)

£1.5m Dembele windfall

Celtic could net as much as £1.5million if Moussa Dembele completes a reported £35million transfer to Atletico Madrid. The Frenchman is in talks with the Spanish league leaders. The Parkhead side are due ten per cent of any profit on the striker Lyon bought for £20million. (Scottish Sun)

Bonner ‘doesn’t know’

John Kennedy has hit out at former Celtic goalkeeper Pat Bonner. The pundit said that the defensive "shambles” of late “suggests they need to work harder on the training ground.” The club’s assistant boss hit back stating “this is someone who is not in the know in terms of how we work on a daily basis”. Main not a red

Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes believes people are getting their “knickers in a twist" about Curtis Main’s challenge on Borna Barisic which warranted a yellow card form John Beaton. There were calls for it to be a red. McInnes said: “It was a robust challenge but it’s a yellow every day of the week, I have seen it again.” (Various)
