Uefa’s “strong recommendation” for leagues to finish their season came with a caveat for “special cases”. Some viewed Scotland and the Ladbrokes Premiership as falling into that category. Yet, Rangers’ continued presence in the Europa League may make it difficult for the SPFL to call the season too early due to complexities which that brings.
The continent’s governing body meet again this week which could see some clarity on the situation, or maybe not. Meanwhile, league reconstruction talks have taken place and more discussion will be held in the coming days.

5. Hearts' league reconstruction vote
Hearts will vote as a Championship club on any league reconstruction proposal if the Premiership is completed before it takes place. The SPFL are still being guided by Uefa with regards to how the top flight is concluded. (Evening News)

Hearts chief Ann Budge believes there is a desire for change after meeting for the first time with the league reconstruction sub-group. Co-chair Les Gray confirmed they will meet again on Friday to develop a more focused approach. (Various)

8. New date for Scotland v Israel?
Scotland could be set for an October date for their Uefa Nations League play-off with Israel. The fixture, which was due to be played at Hampden Park in March, had been rearranged for June. But now there is belief that the semi-final will be in October with the final the following month. (FAI TV)
