James Tavernier continued with his unbelievably good season by playing a starring role in Rangers’ 2-1 victory over Dundee United on Sunday.

Not only did the right-back cross for Connor Goldson to score the winning goal, he also opened the scoring with a world-class free-kick that curled into the top corner of the net from over 30 yards.

Here’s how Scottish football fans reacted to the moment of skill on social media:

@jamiemcnee: “Genuinely thought today was the day Tavernier wouldn’t score, what a free kick.”

@craig_killie: “I'm not sure it's an exaggeration to say that is one of the best free-kicks I've ever seen.”

@rachlizziexx: “At this point, James Tavernier could come take a s*** in my garden & I’d applaud his efforts.”

@JohnMcIntosh19: “Tavernier having the best individual season of any Rangers player since Barry Ferguson 02/03 and if he continues his form he likely betters it. Finally getting the respect he deserves but has went up levels.”

@CF19_: “Hilarious how s**** they are and how s**** we’ve become to let them build up that lead man that’ll be Lennons legacy letting a guy like James Tavernier serial loser lift the league and pick up player of the year in our ten in a row season.”
