Fresh reports linking Rangers midfielder Ianis Hagi with a summer move to Serie A have surfaced in the Italian media – despite claims earlier this month that the Romanian playmaker was happy at Ibrox.

Citing Romanian media reports, Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport suggests that the player is keen to move to the Italian leagues; specifically to Lazio.

The Light Blues have an option to buy Hagi – understood to be around £5-6 million – but Corriere dello Sport claims the Ibrox side are unlikely to activate the clause in the Genk player’s loan deal.

According to reports in the player’s homeland, Hagi “dreams of playing for Lazio”.

Romanian publication Pro Sport also claims Lazio head coach Simone Inzaghi is keen on the former Fiorentina player and is willing to pay the required amount to the Belgian side to secure his signature.

But that is at odds with an article published last week in the Glasgow Times claiming that the 21-year-old was keen to extend his stay in Scotland.
