SPL Fanzone: Rangers

THE game at Parkhead went, sadly, as most supporters of both clubs predicted.

For Rangers, that first goal was always vital and it was unfortunate that Wallace’s sixth-minute ‘goal’ wasn’t seen by any of the officials when the ball had clearly crossed the line. Again we gave the ball away cheaply and often; Jelavic can’t hold things up on his own and Rangers looked devoid of inspiration chasing the game.

Monday’s showing against Motherwell was a better start to the New Year, although our lack of fit striking options is now a major concern. The manager needs to use his unique insight into the goalscoring arts and get help before we run into sand. Still, a three-goal win is welcome. Aluko looks like a great signing, Wallace is impressing again and if we can get Healy fit and into scoring positions, who knows what January will bring?
