SPL Fanzone: Rangers

FINISHING second or third this season is, sadly, academic, given that European competition won’t be an option for Rangers come August. Havings said that, maybe that’s no bad thing considering the dross we served up against Malmo and Maribor.

From now until May should be about assessing our younger players and ensuring Ibrox has 45,000-plus every second week. The team at Tannadice reflected this, with only four of the 11 players who started the season, but Rangers can count themselves unfortunate not to have taken at least a point. A wonder strike got United on their way before some non-existent tackling from us saw them increase their lead. This week sees a full house at Ibrox and a party to celebrate the continuing 140-year existence of Rangers, so it’s a nice gesture by our neighbours to come along and give us their money. Thanks bhoys.
