Celtic battled back from two goals down against Rangers as the Glasgow giants drew 2-2 at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership.
So often, man for the big occasion in big games this season, Portuguese striker Youssef Chermiti had a first-half to remember as his acrobatic effort opened the scoring after eight minutes, before he capitalised on an error from Julian Araujo to tap home his second on 26 minutes.
Martin O’Neill’s men roared back, though, and reduced the deficit when Kieran Tierney nodded home from close range just ten minutes in the second-half, before Reo Hatate scored a last-minute equaliser when he tapped home from close range after seeing Jack Butland save his penalty.
The result does little for either side in the context of the title race, with Rangers now trailing league leaders Hearts by six points, whereas Celtic, eight points off the pace, have a game in hand.
Here’s how The Scotsman rated the performance of each player as Rangers and Celtic played out a pulsating 2-2 draw at Ibrox.

1. Jack Butland (Rangers) - 7
Had little to do in the first-half, but was tested more in the second period as Celtic improved. Made excellent saves from Hatate and McCowan and Celtic pushed to get back into the game. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

2. Viljami Sinisalo (Celtic) - 6
Given the nod ahead of Kasper Schmeichel, who wasn't even on the bench. Could do little about the Rangers goals, with the defence is front of him letting him down. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

3. Dujon Sterling (Rangers) - 6
Recovered from injury in time to be included in the starting XI and kept Maeda - a man who has so often had a say in this fixture - completely silent on the left, but was the fall guy when he gave away a late penalty for handball. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

4. Julian Araujo (Celtic) - 4
A horror of an Old Firm debut. An early reducer on Moore was left unchecked, and he lost the ball too easily in the lead up to the opening goal. What he was trying to achieve with the second is anyone's guess. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group
