Rangers transfer update as Derek McInnes reveals timeline for further new additions after friendly draw
Work ongoing as latest new signing set to arrive at Ibrox
Rangers are planning to make further new signings ahead of next week's friendly against St Etienne.
The French side visit Ibrox next Wednesday in what will be manager Derek McInnes' first appearance in the Rangers home dugout following his move from Hearts.
McInnes has been running the rule over his squad during a preseason training camp in Spain, which was rounded off with a friendly against Malaysian Super League champions Johor Darul Ta'zim on Thursday.

Tochi Chukwuani, who came off the bench at half-time, scored twice in the second half as Rangers came from two goals behind to draw 2-2 amid high temperatures in La Nucia.
Liam Kelly, Dujon Sterling, Emmanuel Fernandez and Tuur Rommens all completed 90 minutes while there were starts for new signings Ben Godfrey, Alex Neil and Lawrence Shankland.
Speaking afterwards, McInnes gave an update on Rangers transfer plans amid reports that midfielder Vanja Dragojevic is set to complete a £4.6million move from Partizan Belgrade.
"The club have done brilliant work at this moment in time to try and bring in the additions that we clearly needed from last season," McInnes told Rangers TV. "We want to make sure we are a more rounded squad and when it comes to the bit that we are ready.
"But the work will be ongoing. We are still looking to get a couple of things done ahead of the St Etienne game on Wednesday.
“But we are two weeks tomorrow away from Dundee United and I feel the fitness of the players is a lot better and stronger from where we set off a couple of weeks ago. Now we just need to get that understanding a wee bit more and get game-ready, and that's in both boxes."

Goalkeeper Ivor Pandur, signed from Hull City, Cammy Devlin, who joined from Hearts last week, and Norwegian midfielder Thelo Aasgaard are all set to join up with the Rangers squad next week following an extended break after their respective World Cup exertions.
"Ivor got a couple of weeks off, Cammy got a week off and Thelo took a week off but he was eager to come back into it," McInnes said. "We are delighted to get them back in the building. That will give us another wee jag of quality and bolsters the squad."
Looking ahead to his first match at Ibrox, McInnes added: "I haven't really thought about that too much. If I think about it too much I'll probably not sleep. But I'm really excited about the whole occasion of that.
"Personally, you know what the club means to me and being manager here is special. But I'm well aware of my responsibility here to try and drive the whole thing forward. With the support of the board, staff and players we're all working towards same thing.
"Walking out at Ibrox will feel nice but we want to win the game. We want to make sure when we're walking back up the tunnel that we've won a friendly game with loads of positives from it, no injuires, and another step towards Dundee United, because we've got to be ready for that."
