Rangers plan Bournemouth trip and summer US tour

RANGERS are to travel will travel to the south coast to take on Bournemouth in a pre-season friendly at the end of July.

Ally McCoist will take his team to Dorset on 30 July, in a match that will fall between a Ramsdens Cup tie and a League Cup clash.

The League One champions will compete in the Ramsdens Cup on July 26th, with a League Cup tie the following weekend.

Rangers could come up against former Aberdeen winger Ryan Fraser and Irish veteran full-back Ian Harte at Bournemouth, who have also added former Scotland international Richard Hughes to their backroom staff following his retirement from playing.

The club are also set to confirm a pre-season tour of the United States in the near future, as part of their preparations for the 2014/15 season.

The Ibrox club have over 20 supporters clubs in America alone, and US international quartet Claudio Reyna, DaMarcus Beasley, Carlos Bocanegra and Maurice Edu have all appeared for Rangers in the last ten years.
