Man charged over Rangers ‘internet leaks’

A 45-year-old man is facing an extortion charge after private information involving Rangers football club was leaked onto the internet.

The man, who is also accused of breaking the Computer and Misuse Act and the Communications Act, was reported to the procurator fiscal.

A police spokesman confirmed: “A 45-year-old man will be subject of a report to the procurator fiscal.”
