Ger nets winner against Rangers

RANGERS suffered a friendly defeat yesterday and to rub salt in the wounds the only goal of the game was scored by one of their own – winger Gregg Wylde It wasn’t an own goal either as Wylde was lining up for Scotland Under-21s in a bounce match against an Ibrox XI at Murray Park. Wylde, 20, is one of three Rangers players in Billy Stark’s national squad, with defenders Darren Cole and Ross Perry also selected for the forthcoming European Under-21 Championship qualifier against the Netherlands. Wylde is suspended from Rangers’ next two games having been sent off for violent conduct in his last competitive match against Dundee United.

Wylde was red-carded for violent conduct after kicking out at Willo Flood. His manager Ally McCoist publicly told the youngster he will have to “learn things like that are not acceptable”.
